The Sauder Closets™ Modular Storage System features Sauders patent-pending SpanFast®
tension system, which enables Sauder Closets™ to be installed in a closet of nearly
any size without cutting parts, anchoring components, or causing damage to
your existing walls.
The heart of this system is the SpanFast® tension rod.
By using this rod in conjunction with the Sauder Closets™ upright and/or storage stacks, Sauder Closets™
can be infinitely adjusted to fit snugly in any closet.
The SpanFast
® Sauder Closets™ rod features two adjustments. The macro adjustment allows the rod to be
quickly and easily extended to span the intended hanging space. The micro adjustment then screws
out to create pressure against the fixed closet walls. Its this pressure that holds the Sauder Closets™ components in place.
The rod shelf expands to
match the span of the tension rod and is locked into position with a simple twist.
Spacer blocks with rubber nubs,
included with the rod pack and upright pack, allow component stacks
and uprights to clear base moldings from ¾ to 1-1/2 thick when pressed tight to the wall.
The anti-tip brace can be installed
out of sight at the top of a Sauder Closets™ component stack.
The brace, included in every upright pack and rod pack, eliminates the possibility of the component
stack tilting forward in the closet due to uneven flooring.
